The more good members we recruit, the more discussion we can enjoy and the better this place can benefit from it. Granted, we're a small, tightly-knit group now. Most of us having known each other for at least a few months to a year or more.

But the heathen EoD gods demand new blood, and we must add to our group to enhance the experience here! So run out there and capture members for the forum. Keep in mind that I can view how many referals you make, and there may be something in it for top contributors. I'm notoriously generous.

Well, our principle foci are Debates and RPing. If anyone wants to advertise on other fora, you're more than welcome to. The reason Dev and I have been focusing on RP-heavy boards is because we also run TPP and so that's a higher priority for us specifically.

But yeah, if members want to add things to EoD and have it grow into something even larger, then go ahead and get some interest for it.

It's truly a fantastic forum. You all know (well, those who've been here for a while) how I have no problem with advertising a forum other than Infamous if I deem it worthy of attention. Edge of Destiny is one of these forums.

It literally has everything. Apart from the standard boards where one can find a multitude of interesting discussions to partake in, the board also plays host to some in-depth and potential-to-be-brilliant roleplays. As well as an actual arcade, where you're sure to find at least one of your favourite games and proceed to challenge other members for the much coveted Top Spot as Champion.

Meaning what? If he debates me on a topic without being informed he will lose, and vice versa. Stop worshiping him already, he's not the best debater in the world. Two, the GDF is hardly a maelstrom of awesome intellect. Out-debating your average GDF goon is easier than combating some of our SW Versus forum battles. Hell, I've had debates in Philosophy and Religion or History that far outshine the battles in the GDF. Please.

That's because out of all the debaters/debating I've analyzed, AC seems to utilize sound logic and he's ruthless and determined.

Kharmadog is not bad. I went against him in a PETA debate once. Ended in a stalemate.

Do you not understand the concept of "He who claims must prove up?" Sorgo, YOU made the claim. I do not have to disprove you; you have to prove up. It's that simple.

Here's a way you could do that:

Show us sound victories and examples of his arguing, complete with links.

If you can't do that, stop stroking his ego and don't insult my intelligence by asking me to disprove your assertion.

The GDF is a General Discussion Forum that's the second largest cesspool of spam and noobage posting next to the OTF over there. It's hardly the cream of the crop. At least in SW Versus, we had dedicated and educated debators (Most of whom are here now) who lasted many rounds and debates included evidence, logical structures, and extended review of each piece of material.

At the GDF, the average debate is three pages of above normal intelligence posters making insults and one-liners against people whose screen names look like personalized license plates and have DBZ signatures made from MS Paint. Hardly the same ballgame.

That's because out of all the debaters/debating I've analyzed, AC seems to utilize sound logic and he's ruthless and determined.

That's because you purposefully avoid real debates and focus on random topics or arena battles that feature somebody you adore. I have yet to see you go toe-to-toe in a philosophy, religion, or history/current events debate. Or in the previous incarnation of the forum, which included some truly stellar debates.

And besides, AC's last two hundred replies (http://www.killermovies.com/forums/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=544304&sortby=&sortorder=&pagenumber=8) on KMC all are on the Abortion thread, and most include him acting irritable because people who are new to the debate come on and start afresh instead of sorting through all four hundred-plus pages and just accepting his previous answer.

Well, I just visited KMC again and went to the GDF to see what all the fuss was about here.

Well, lets just say that after looking at a few threads there and the general quality of posters, it is not much to brag about being numero uno on that board. I am not the greatest debator, but after seeing what I saw there, even I could beat most people there.
Here is a excerpt from the abortion thread, where, according to Janus, AC spends most of his time,

There are at least three pages discussing anal sex. And, from what I saw on several threads and pages, BARDOCK is even higher than most people there.



EDIT: well I went to AC's page of his last several posts, and from what I saw, very few have been in the abortion thread. However, after going through the pages of his last posts, I have seen no intensive debating threads. Most of them seem to be things such as 'emo thread,' 'football (soccer)' and 'how will this decade be remembered' threads. None of them are exceptionally debating heavy. He also has several posts in 'british Hip-Hop' again, a thread I doubt is heavy on debates.

However, I did see posts of his in two potentially debate heavy threads such as 'profanity and manners, just as annoying as political correctness.'

Now for those who remember the KMC SW Versus, I am sure you all remember that this arguement would not be given the time of day.
He did not provide any reasons whatsoever, it is entirely based upon opinion. Furthermore, he knows he will get backlash, but does not bother to state why he believes what he does.
I have seen far better opening comments from every member now here that went to the SW Versus. We all posted long posts, detailing exactly why we thought what we did, with evidence, referenced and crossreferenced for evidence.

I see none of that here, so, I will continue to browse through his posts, but so far (3 pages into his last posts), I have seen nothing that impressive

Really? Several Moderators of those forums and other members from all around the surface of KMC would beg to differ.

REX said the deterioration of those forums started around the beginning of 2005. Alot of members also noticed a downfall in that particular versus arena.

Hell, the first time I went into the OTF, I was INSULTED because my title said SWV Debator.

The debates there consisted of barrages of A>B>C theories, hearsay and canonical bashfests.
