View Full Version : Pure Evil

Okay, so I've been starving to make a horror plot that is creepier than just zombies, or just ghosts, or just some dude with a mask and a lack of empathy. I wanted something that takes the subject of evil and unearths all its worst features and minions in one unusual setting.

What did I choose? Eastern Europe, October 15th (October equus), 1814.

Let me describe the plot in a few sections dealing with specific issues, followed by a writing sample I cooked up to give you a feel for the setting itself:

More About the Setting.

The main action takes place in a small, backwater village near Braşov, Transylvania. The nation itself is not a nation at this point, but a grand principality under the dominion of the Hapsburgs of Austria. Europe itself is just beginning to let out its breath, as Napoleon was exiled to the island of Elba. This is the early 1800s, and to get a feel for the era, you may want to consult some sources:

- Wikipedia, of course. This can help with any general questions you may have.

- Media. Specifically, movies about or near to the era, such as The Count of Monte Cristo, Sleepy Hollow, and The Duellists, to name a few.

- Books. Bram Stoker's Dracula depicts a late 1800s Transylvania, and helps set a mood. Others I couldn't specify as of the time of this posting, but they are definately out there.

How will this RP be conducted?

I traditionally prefer storyteller-led RPs over complete freeform, and for this particular RP I fully intend to fulfill the role of storyteller. What does this mean? Well, basically, you who participate will be players in the plot, while I will engineer all its twists, changes, and NPC/atmosphere interactions. To give you a (brief and concisely written) example, see below:

Player: (Playing as the daugher of a Russian nobleman, Alexia) Her heels clicked on the floorboards as she made her way slowly into the farmhouse. Still clutching the shovel in shaking, chilled hands, she keeps her eyes ever searching.

Storyteller: The room is covered with soot and what appears to be dried blood. As you walk, dust kicks up with each step, and the creaking of the floorboards echoes more than you'd appreciate. Directly ahead, two wooden chairs are arranged before a fireplace, both partially burnt. Looking closer, you see the charred remains of an old man prone before the fireplace, and by his side a long, seemingly ancient rifle. It too, is burnt beyond further recognition.

^ Simply, as players, you would control only your own characters. Elaborating or describing the environment, dictating the behaviors of NPCs/beasts/etc. would all be my duty as storyteller. Likewise, interactions will be a bit different. If you wanted to, say, move a lever or pick up an item in the environment, you would first declare the action, and let me handle the end result (Whether or not you could actually muster up the strength to move the lever, or perhaps it was stuck, perhaps it makes the door open, etc. On the second example, perhaps the item you wish to pick up is for a reason or another, immovable.). This same applies for battle actions (Attacking a ghoul, for example): you may declare an attack, but I would determine whether or not it would work.

Some of you who are unfamiliar with this approach or have had a bad experience or two with it may be thinking this sounds like a bad idea. Well, at the very least humor me. I've done it plenty of times before with amazing results, and I personally find that the approach is much more accomodating to casual roleplayers or roleplayers who, due to creative restraints or time/real life restraints, can't always muster up the energy and time to make a full freeform post. At the very least, I ask that if you're interested please try it. You lose nothing by simply trying.

How can I make my character?

Mortal. Non-supernatural. The idea of horror is to be at the mercy of forces greater than you are, and to have a semblance of fear and uncertainty. For this reason, you can only make characters who are relatively normal (With a few exceptions I'll list below). I'll first request that you submit to me via PM a character sheet. This sheet will include the following: detailed character description; character history (It need not be a book, but at least something describing who your character is and where they're coming from); items they are carrying; any type of special skills (For example, Character X was a former blacksmith, or in the army, or can play music). If you're approved, you're in. If you're not approved, I'll explain to you exactly what it was about your character sheet that needs a bit of reworking.

You may request to have one of the following "gifts", if you can provide a good history and/or explanation for your character acquiring them. They, along with your character sheet, must be approved, of course. If you accept one of them, it will be implemented into your roleplay, though in a manner you might not expect. For example, if you can read auras, you can attempt to do it, but whether or not it succeeds will be up to the storyteller (Read: moi). Likewise, it may spontaneously kick in when you least expect it, such as during a traumatic event or in an unholy place. Consider it a chosen plot device, if you will. The list is as follows:

- Aura reading (The ability, of course, to read auras)
- Clairaudience (The ability to hear things outside of the normal human range)
- Clairsentience (The ability to perceive energy fields, including those of ghosts and of auras. Please note that it is not as effective nor as complete as Aura reading in perceiving and recognizing auras. However, it is excellent for being able to "feel" things with one's mind.)
- Precognition (The most random of the gifts, this allows one to have a vision of a future event. How that vision is shown and when, however, is not under your control)
- Retrocognition (The ability to perceive events from the past due to handling objects, or being in certain places.)
- Hypersensitivity (This is less of a gift then more of a curse. Hypersensitive individuals are not aware of their own abilities that transcend normal human means, and they are often victim to the supernatural due to their ability to perceive them. This is not advised for someone who wants an "easy time" at this RP. To elaborate further on this ability, being hypersensitive simply means you have the gift to perceive the dead and the like, but you cannot control it. You're effectively an amateur at ESP.)

Just to snag attention from those of you who like to skim (And yes, I do it myself all the time): Please read the section on making a character!

Anything else I should know? I have a question! Wait, what about this...

Hey, ask it here. I love answering questions. It's how I spread my vast wisdom and knowledge to the outside world. Anyways, yes, ask away. If you need clarification, advise, etc., please ask me.

Now, for the writing sample

The minutes stretched into hours as he plowed through the tall grass, fighting his way past vile low-hanging branches and the occasional exposed root. He was certain of three things: he was tired; he was frustrated; and he was absolutely lost. The moon broke through the trees overhead now and again, reminding him that it was well past the time he was supposed to be at the lord’s manor. Even if the manor was just past the next brace of trees, he’d need an hour more to clean the mud from his riding boots.

“Damn that horse!” Julian swore for perhaps the fourth time. His saber was out and hacking the offending foliage with a swiftness and decisiveness that only impatience and anger can bring about. Julian Beaumont was formerly Lieutenant Julian Beaumont of the British Army, and up until this past April, had been active in the war against that French brute, Napoleon, alongside many of his countrymen. The young man (If twenty nine years of age could be considerably young) was a thin figure, long and pale. His hair was blond, almost colorless, and it in turn gave his skin an almost yellow hue due to its contrast. His eyes, however, were bastions of color, shimmering blue like the oceans off of some Caribbean isle. Currently, he was clean shaven, though it had been nearly a day since he had done his toilet, and hair was already beginning to reclaim its lost territory.

“Damn him!” More snarls of bitterness. It had been a week since he had set foot in this backwater Austrian holding, and he was more than fed up with the conditions here. Foolish mission if there ever was one. Edmund Settler, his old friend and schoolmate, had asked him a peculiar favor: to deliver a book and letter to a Lord Aphotos von Eiferer . von Eiferer was an Austrian noble currently acting as governor for the Hapsburgs in the area near Braşov, Transylvania. With one hand clutching his satchel (Itself containing his additional clothes and goods along with his package), the other hewing trees and brush alike, Julian continued his long and cold trek. It was nearly mid-October, and the pre-winter chill was upon him in a rush. Not that the journey would have been any warmer had he still be on his horse, but he still cursed that his horse had fouled him. Thinking back to that moment, about four hours ago, Julian was still confused as to exactly what had happened...

Once he had arrived at Braşov, he had changed horses at a local stable, paying a good sum for what he considered to be a worthless ride. The strange, dirty stable boy who had received his money looked at him with haunting, dark eyes, muttering something in his native tongue. Julian’s luck had only gone downhill from then. Taking the lad’s directions, the soldier then rode due east, up through the surprisingly unforgiving hills towards what he expected was the only real way to the lord’s private manor. Cursing why the nobility should ever be so estranged from reality as to choose their domains so far from civilization, the British lieutenant soon lost his way as the trail turned to thick woods, and it was nearly nightfall when the horse suddenly heaved to the side, sending him flying. After gathering his wits and moving to check the horse, he found it was dead. Stone dead. And no amount of kicking nor swearing was about to move it, either.

Since then, he had picked the general direction of the lord’s manor and begun his trek, using his saber to clear the way when he could. He’d been forced to leave a good deal of his equipment with the dead animal, but what he managed to squirrel away should be enough for the trip, he thought. Time dragged on, and currently he was feeling nothing but loathing and vengeance regarding his luck at the hands of a ‘damned stable hand’. However, his luck was about to change yet again.

Julian emerged into a small clearing, the night sky suddenly opening up before him as though he were about to ascend into its starry depths and leave this mortal world forever. The full moon’s cool light shone on the ground before him, and what he saw made him instantly retch.

Bodies. At least ten of them. Each was tied to a stake, with their entrails hanging out. The eyes had been apparently burned away, as though someone had jabbed them with a hot poker. And the arms and legs were shredded due to what could be taken as struggling against the rope binding them to their fate. The stakes were arranged in a diamond shape, with the closest being a girl not older than perhaps her late teens. Her dirty blonde hair waved sadly in the wind, her mouth locked in a cry of anguish so deep and so complete that Hades himself would be hard-pressed to deny her succor. As he recovered himself, Julian noted her simple, peasant clothing, stained with both blood and filth. Her legs were bare, as were her feet, and he could see that she had been worked mercilessly during her life before she met this foul end. Behind her on either side were two more peasants, each similarly tied and disemboweled. As he looked closer, the Englishman noted symbols burned into their foreheads.... Different symbols for each.

“What in God’s name...” He began, but was cut short by an unearthly howl. It was returned by several others, and Julian, his gloved hands now feeling a cold sweat, brought up his saber as though he meant to attack the very dark itself. “I have to get out of here.” He hissed, and began running forward, giving the macabre array a wide berth.

Twenty more minutes of hacking through the thick woods and adrenaline-fueled running, and Julian Beaumont came almost without warning from the clutches of the dark wood. He stumbled into the malevolent night air again, with the moon showing the land before him. A village. He saw dozens of homes that were primitive even in his own time. Some with incomplete or damaged roofs and walls, some with thatched roofs, and some even with rude wood pillars supporting the awnings. At first, he saw no one living, his breath taking form in the air as the chill set in further. His hands, still clinging to his blade, were wet from the fear. Then, he saw a figure, seemingly wrapped in shadow, move alongside one of the small barns. He dropped down, watching it intently, until the figure happened to appear in the moonlight.

It was the boy, his pale face seeming dark due to his large, brown eyes. His matted hair hung about as though he’d never given it a second thought. His clothes were still in near-tatters as Julian remembered, and as the man watched, the treacherous stable boy disappeared into one of the nearest houses. Julian gritted his teeth.

“What is going on here?” He stepped forward into the moonlight, and it seemed to him almost as if the very fabric of what was real rippled, causing his hair to stand up on end. As he walked slowly towards the rustic old farmhouse, Julian couldn’t help but feel that his wretched luck was only going to get worse...

It sounds bloody fantastic, but I'm very unsure as to how it all works. I've read your introduction and instruction twice over and I think, if I were to join, I'd probably need a lot of help. Would it be possible to wait and see how the roleplay takes shape before I join? I'm not sure if you'd rather have all players sign up before you begin or if it would be ok for me to join once I'm more comfortable with the concept.

Currently, I'm drumming up interest and members for the plot. I'd like to kick it off all at once, but if you have some concerns or questions, here's the place to address them. I'd be happy to elaborate on anything you might be confused about, or even help you work out a character sheet.

Great, I think that's what I'm most concerned about, the character sheet. Also, possibly not being able to keep up the pace. I'm relatively new to roleplaying as I've only been doing so for the past year, maybe a little longer and I don't think I've passed amateur level yet. The roleplays I'm currently involved in have a distinct layout; basic roleplay principles such as create plotline>create character>roleplay.

They are successful, don't get me wrong, but in comparison to something like this there really isn't much room for extensive gaming. I'm participating in a basic D&D roleplay which involved a different approach to the others I've experienced but even that isn't on this kind of level.

I guess I'm just nervous. I'm sure I'm capable, I just need to understand fully before I commit so as to avoid making mistakes and such :)

Well, ask any questions that come to mind. It'll help you discover if you are ready for this. It should be easy- I won't expect college-level essays or novels for each post, because certainly not everyone will have that style, and even those who do won't neccessarily be able to write a whole page about picking up a torch or poking a body with a stick.

I'm glad that you said that. I would definitely have to bow out if epic description was required for even the most minor of tasks. Still interested, perhaps even moreso now.. just waiting to hear more. I need something to flex my rusty skills with.

I used to like how you made the Biohazard sigs(did you hotlink the sig?), now that I'm decent at making a sig I'd do it too, though I'm not sure if I want to advertise at KMC, I'm always worried about idiots trolling the damn RP. I might go back to Infamous for a bit to spread the word.

I used to hotlink my sigs all the time and noone said a word. Even hotlinked it once to the SuicideGirls, which is not even close to PG-13.

I'll put a link under my sig until I get around to making a new one. Well, I'll link it when the RP starts back up or there is a sign up thread to link to.

I closed this RP at another board where I had intended to draw members because of significant lack of interest. I haven't even so much as received a character sheet on this in over a month since I made it.

So really, I'll make a poll and you guys can pick which RP you'd want to start up. I'll only do one.

(Here's part of it. More to come soon.)

Name: Julian Edward Beaumont
Nationality: English
Age: 29 years
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 198 lbs.
Status: Lieutenant, 95th Rifles, British Armed Forces
Date of Birth: November 1st

History: Julian Beaumont was born to Lord Edmund Ashton Beaumont and Lady Catherine Beaumont in their quaint manor not two days' ride west of London. As an only child, Julian was spoiled, though his father was away on business frequently. Lady Beaumont, a proud, beautiful woman, felt guilty for her husband's lack of presence, and showered the boy with gifts and rarely regulated his behavior. Julian, for his part, was a quiet, introspective youth who spent much of his time exploring the family grounds or delving through his father's extensive library. Many books on history, warfare, religion and philosophy lined the dusty shelves of his father's study, and Julian spent a good deal with them all. When it came time to enroll the lad in a fitting school, he resisted bitterly. And the Lady's resolve broke, instead hiring a private tutor. Father Reginald was an old holy man and priest in the nearby town, and for a modest sum he agreed to move into the estate and tutor the isolated boy. Reginald's fierce and unrelenting demeanor put him ever at odds with his student. Eventually, the priest began to discipline the then-ten year old boy with a willow stick, leaving a stinging impression on the boy he never likely forgot. When Julian informed his mother of this, she was livid, and threatened to remove the priest. However, Reginald was sly with words and cunning in making Lady Beaumont believe that this discipline was for her son's best interest. In particular, he showed her the various occult books Lord Beaumont owned that the boy had read. Worried for her son's immortal soul, she allowed Father Reginald to exact his punishment as he saw fit. Julian felt betrayed. He grew bitter towards her, though she never really acknowledged it.

However strict and unyielding Father Reginald was, he was an excellent teacher. Julian learned Latin, French, some German and mathematics of all sorts. He learned how to tie rope, fish, hunt and play at swords, for Father Reginald hadn't always been a priest; he'd been a soldier in his youth. Julian also spent time learning with other youths of his age. Edmund Settler, one of Reginald's younger students, quickly became friends with the somewhat aloof Julian. For eight years, Reginald transformed Julian from an isolated bookworm to a robust and bold young man. Of course, the young lad wasn't fond of his mentor due to the harshness of his lessons, but he learned them nonetheless. At the age of eighteen and a half, Julian finally made his move to leave the house; he begged his mother to allow him to leave on a business trip with his father. Against Reginald's judgment, Lady Beaumont agreed, and Julian and his father left for the West Indies in March. Reginald, disgusted with her choice, left in a huff. A year and a half later, Julian returned alone. Lord Beaumont had died of fever, and soon the son and mother were without income. They struggled to make ends meet for a year, with Julian investing his late father's money in the market. After a disastrous season, even this money was lost, and they lost the estate.

Lady Beaumont, heartbroken over her losses, and Julian went to live with her elder sister. Julian, by this time a cynical, bitter young man, remained with her for months. For a time, he was without aim and hope. His mother continued to grow weaker, and she often babbled incoherently or spent hours staring at the fireplace. One morning he found her cold and still, her hands clutched tightly around the armrests of her chair. As he was the one to find her, Julian was left with an image and emotion that will never leave him. Unable to abide living in the house where his mother had died, Julian left after her funeral.

He wandered around, finding work where he could. Eventually, he encountered a sort of press gang, and was forced to enlist in the armed forces in the fight against Napoleon. He spent several years in the service, learning to channel his emotions and aimlessness into a career that was neither rewarding nor short-lived. He was among the first enlisted in the newly created 95th Rifles, a group of men trained in an unusual way of warfare. These green-uniformed sharpshooters used new rifles capable of amazing accuracy, which they utilized to brutal effect. The group spent some time in the Peninsula Wars, fighting against the French forces there. However, this tour through Iberia left Julian scarred in its own way. The Spanish, whom the English had originally meant to aid, turned rogue. Spanish guerillas fled during battles, betrayed their British comrades, or worse. Spanish people were hardly accommodating, and the Inquisition, an institution previously disbanded, came to life in many small villages and towns. The atrocities were something Julian had never before witnessed. His comrades were equally scarred.

When the war was seemingly over (With Napoleon trapped on Elba), Julian was given leave. Once home, he received a message and a package from his old friend... Edmund Settler. Enclosed was a letter, asking Julian to deliver the package to a Lord Aphotos von Eiferer, an Austrian noble near Braşov, Transylvania. Having nowhere to return home, and standing to receive a nice reward for this favor, Julian left for eastern Europe at once.

Finally getting around to updating this damn thing.

Up until now, the profile of Julian Beaumont has been pretty self-explanatory. The rest I will elaborate on so that people know what to plug in to complete their sheet.

Natural Abilities

This is where players will enter talents and traits that their characters have which might be considered unusual gifts. This does NOT include supernatural talents, but things more along the lines of say ambidexterity, refined musical talent, quick to master maths, or perhaps has uncanny sense of time, balance, or direction. The idea is to keep this fairly realistic; not every character is MacGuyver meets the Renaissance Man. Over use of this part could result in the sheet being sent back for revision. Keep it real, naturally.

In Julian's case, he is a talented shot (Hence why he was chosen for what is a forerunner of modern-day sniper units), has a quick understanding of linguistics (A natural book-reader and fluent in a few languages), and he takes easily to swimming.

I could add more, but he's hardly fleshed out enough for me to do so. Really, Julian is intended to be a bookworm who's surprisingly good at soldierly activities. Beyond that, he doesn't have what I would rightly consider innate or natural skills beyond these three. This section doesn't have to be long at all, really.

Personality

This section will be very simple: elaborate on your character with three choice words.

For example, Julian is cynical, introspective, and adaptive. Make sure each word is a descriptive word beyond the most obvious (Like "man", "old", or even something as boring and dreadful as "human".)

Appearance

Describe your character. Depending on your style, this could be clear and concise, or long and intricate. Either way, I don't care so long as it's fitting. I only ask that you do your character proper justice and stay as realistic as possible. Eight foot tall, four hundred plus all muscle Polish saber masters with purple eyes and polydactylism won't find much place in the RP.

I'm lucky: I can just copy mine.

Really, that is enough. Describing clothing in this is totally optional, though it's a very good idea nonetheless.

Possessions

This is what your character carries with them into the village area. This list must be line by line, and you must include further explanations on things if you expect them to be honored in-game. So if you have a parasol with a dagger hidden in the handle, you'd better note that here or I won't accept it. This is to avoid people pulling swords out of their asses or guns out of sandals. Whether or not you included your character's clothing in the Appearance section, it MUST be listed here.

For Julian, it would look something like this:

* 95th Rifles active duty uniform. (Inserted in here would be a description of the articles; at the very least, their color. In Julian's case, the uniform is a dark green mostly, though his riding boots are worn brown. I could go at length on this, but I'd prefer to do that IC. Likewise, you may opt to floor it on the clothing description for one of your posts; I definately recommend it. However, the basics must go here.)

* Service saber. (As it is a melee weapon, I only have to give a valid reason for him having it. It doesn't have any hidden tricks or particular emblems, so I can just leave it at a "Service saber". Ornamental weapons, or ones with certain secondary uses should be noted, however.)

* Toilet Supplies. (Rather dated way of saying it, but this is basically his shaving razor, packed soap, comb, and whathaveyou. Since it's a kit, I should include everything inside. Since I'm lazy, I won't do that right now. This is really just to help people make character sheets. So nyah.)

* Spare clothes. (Again, same applies for above clothing items, but since these are packed, I don't have to describe them IC or anything like that. I can even just say something as boring as "a light brown traveller's cloak, white shirt, black breeches, and low boots" if I intended to be vague. The idea is just so we know what's in there.)

* Food and water. (In this case, I would just need to be more specific. How much food, what kind, and how much water... what are they carried in. That's that.)

That's the most of it. If you need clarification on a certain item, just ask. The idea is to make sure everything's visible to me as the storyteller, so I can implement anything I need to. Likewise, this prevents anything from being smuggled in, like gatling guns and nunchucks.

Handicaps, Defects, or Deformations

This one probably has you curious. And rightly so. Basically, this section allows players to detail (if applicable) any physical or mental handicaps, defects, or deformations that their character has. This section is essential to fill out if you expect to roleplay those traits, so don't neglect it and then implement something later. It'll only make things confusing. Anyways, if your character has OCD, six fingers on one hand, broken legs, color blind, or can't hear out of one ear, list it here. You can describe HOW or WHY they received these as well, cuz that's vital.

Julian is fairly normal physically, despite having a rough later childhood and a rougher young adulthood. Mentally? I'd say he has serious trust issues which border on paranoid, and he's apt to close himself off entirely from his emotions to protect himself, which makes him seem almost sociopathic when the need arises. Basically, Julian's been shooting people for a living, and it's wearing on him.

I could add more, but that'd be too revealing. I cringed writing what I did. Spoilers. Meh.

Fears

Another vital part. Be as elaborate and thorough here as you can. How and why, the depth of the fear, whatever. Even petty fears, like fears of rejection, fears of spiders, high places... whatever. List it all here.

Goals

Include your character's goals. Personal, lifelong, immediate. Give them some aim. This, like the two previous sections is to flesh out your character and to get your gears running.

Supernatural Traits

Here is where you would (If you so chose) request a supernatural trait like clairvoyence or hypersensitivity, etc. If you elect, you may choose NOT to describe how or why the character has it. I can fill in the blanks for you. Create a random element, so to speak.

Getting Started

The RP will finally kick off, after much delay. Some things to go over to those still interested:

1. Actually having the RP will mean I actually have a good reason to come on at least four or five times a week that doesn't involve forum maintainence or discipline. This means yes... I will keep this RP alive. I realize my attendance has been less than stellar lately, but Pure Evil is something I've wanted to do for months now, and I promise to dedicate my effort and time into it so long as people here continue to do the same.

2. I have availability for six characters. This may change, depending on the flow of the RP, change in time restraints, or people leaving/not posting as actively. But to focus the most possible attention to the Rp (While accomodating a fair number of people), I have to limit it initially to six. And it's first-come, first-serve basis. If in the event that you submit a character sheet and it goes back for revision, I'll still temporarily save you a spot for approximately two days. If you haven't sent back the revised sheet by then, you may be replaced by someone who is fully applicable. This sounds a bit rough, but the RP has been delayed for MONTHS. I can't rightly justify delaying it longer than neccessary.

3. Posting demands. I expect that players post at least once a week. Preferably more than that, but that is the bare minimum. If you can't post once a week, this may not be the RP for you. And since characters may interact at points, it will become important for people to actually post once a week or else the plot goes stagnant. For players who are approved and fail this posting minimum twice, you will likely be removed from the plot. If absence is expected or comes up due to RL issues (And that I do understand), you may be auto'd or safely removed to ensure consistancy without sacrificing your character's place in the plot.

4. If you need help with a character sheet, ASK! The setting and time is very unusual, and it can be difficult coming up with a character who might be in that area at that time. But I'll help with any questions you have. Just PM me. Also, PM me the character sheets. Do not post character sheets in public! Don't review them with your friends, either. Keep them hush-hush. Let others learn about your creation through the RP. Let it unfold like a book, not like SparkNotes.

5. The Rp will begin once we have at least three players. Others may join in once they are approved. Approved players will be listed below on this same post, so check it periodically.

Current Pure Evil Players:

1. Nyx: Imhri Ziga

2. Dubya: Stefan Ionescu

I'm in, but that is a hugeass character sheet. Alot bigger than I remember BH's to be. I'll have something together on the weekend. If I have the time. This is a pretty busy week/weekend.

It's actually not that large. Mine simply looks huge because I overdid the history and I had to explain each section plus fill in example values. I've just received and approved the first character sheet and the bulk of the work was in the history; everything else was bullet-points or short sentences at most.

Has there been any more progress here?

Well, I'm working on my character right now. I just have to make a good history, which may take a while since I know nothing about Moldavia (where he's from) or Romanian culture...

I'm off to Wikipedia! :P

No problem. Dubya's signed up, so all we need is a third to get this thing rolling.

Alright.

Step one is complete. We have three players signed up for Pure Evil: Nyx, Dubya, and Darin. I'll begin the story with these three poor souls. We have three openings left, and remember it's first come, first serve. I do reserve spots if you send me a mostly done character sheet or completed one in need of editing, even though I ask that you redo it or fix a certain error, so keep that in mind. Better you hand me a rushed character sheet in need of some reworking than no character sheet at all. Like I said before- I'm more than willing to help you guys with your character development should you get hung up on something.

My character sheet will be up Sunday.

If you want to put him in the start depending on when you begin, awesome. If you want to start without my character and put him in later, that's cool, but I'm just getting that out there. Sunday, guarenteed.

Hm. It's Sunday and I need to begin intros, so whenever you're ready. For today at least, there's no major rush.
